I (Neal Netherwood) began working with wood as a teenager under the guidance of skilled mentors who introduced me to carpentry and fine woodworking. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of wood behavior through hands-on experience as both a carpenter and general contractor. My wife (Jen Clifton Netherwood) and I are blessed beyond measure, to live and sustainably source hardwood from our 30 acre property in Central VA.

Today, I focus on crafting custom, handmade furniture and unique pieces, combining traditional techniques with careful attention to detail. I work with a variety of materials, including epoxy and exotic hardwoods sourced from around the world and my property. I take pride in both responsibly harvesting, milling, and drying locally sourced species, as well as working with local Hazard tree mitigation companies to bring you highly sought after species such as Black Cherry, Silver Maple, Redbud, Sweetgum, Red Elm, Black Oak, Cucumber Magnolia, Black Walnut, Mulberry, Aromatic Red Cedar, and Osage Orange.Our commitment to quality and craftsmanship is reflected in the satisfaction of our customers.
